FiberLink® is an engineered calcium carbonate which has been specifically designed to enhance aesthetics, mechanical properties and softness of nonwovens. FiberLink® can be used in nonwoven fabric production, bringing cost savings and reducing the overall carbon footprint of the final product.

Improved appearance

FiberLink® improves opacity at the same weight per unit area giving the nonwoven sheet a better cosmetic appearance.

Enhanced filtration / dust capture

In nonwoven filtration applications, FiberLink® improves filtration efficiency in terms of dirt holding capacity and better capture of fine particles.

Increased absorption efficiency

FiberLink® can improve the texture and feel of mineral polymer composites making them more suitable for certain applications such as wipes. Absorption capacity per unit volume of the sheet is also improved compared to virgin polymer materials.

Reduced environmental impact

Using FiberLink® helps save on raw material and process costs, reducing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of the final product while maintaining - or improving key properties depending on loading.

Good processability

FiberLink® can allow for up to 40% by weight loading into the polymer in certain applications.  The tailored top cut of the mineral, means it does not disrupt the manufacturing process by increasing pressure build up or causing blockages. Line speed can be increased, or processing temperature reduced, due to the higher thermal conductivity of the polymer mineral composite.
